‘The Harmony House’ is a 30-minute episodic radio talk program.
It is set in an imaginary space with a conservatory, garden, library, kitchen and pets play area. Conversations take place between Andy J Lowe and selected guests who each have a fascinating life story that will appeal to a wide demographic.
Using vivid descriptions, sound effects and warm conversation, the listener is transported into a serene environment. The conversation is light and courteous, but it explores deep themes and life’s lighter moments without burdening the listener with negative thoughts and connotations.
Originally devised for use in hospital radio services and to make a positive contribution to the wellbeing of patients, The Harmony House is currently available, under copyright, free of charge to charitable hospital radio stations.
Former commercial airline pilot Captain Ian George joins Andy J Lowe for coffee in the conservatory. Describing how he made every young boy’s dream of flying aircraft for a living become a reality, Captain George also shares some interesting flying stories – some more hair raising than others!
Former British Army Lieutenant Colonel Dr Ivan Yardley joins Andy J Lowe for coffee in the conservatory. Having reached the level of Brand Director for one of the UK’s largest accountancy practices, Lieutenant Colonel in the British Army Reserves and raised a family, Ivan then wrote and published his book ‘From Battlefield to Boardroom’. A truly inspirational life story.
Valuer and Auctioneer Steve Stockton joins Andy J Lowe in the library with fascinating tales of validating and valuing everything from ceramic artefacts to a handkerchief soaked in the blood of King Charles 1.
